A grant funded an Intergeneration Project 'Bridging the Gap' bringing young and old people together using dance, writing, poetry, painting and photography.
This child contact centre needed new toys and games for the children, who come to meet with an absent parent, and help towards running costs. It is totally voluntary and is open twice a month.
Two grants have been awarded to this group recently: one funded a trip to Gloucester and another a trip to the Forest of Dean. These trips wouldn't have been possible otherwise for elderly people in this very proactive village.
A grant helped re-float this group which had run aground! They were able to purchase 6 single and 2 double kayaks and 2 small sailing dinghies together with associated essential equipment in order to continue the regeneration of the unit and provide young people with the equipment to develop their skills.
